Why are d-gray chapters so short?

The Galmar girl is STILL alive. I hope she just dies off from the gunshot. Her meaningless existence is wasting precious template space for mighty Kanda's appearance, who seems to be slacking his ass off somewhere outside the manga. Maybe he's not back from Halloween break.

And Poor Link. I was just starting to really like him, after all that prowess at chess and fighting with the spells or whatever, but it looks like death is upon him. Argh! Sobz...Somebody save him!
